Garment Co-operation

Some garments require a wearer's involvement for them to work well on the body. Others act together differently: using physical form and structure to co-operate with life. They aid and abet and mould our world.

Squeaker sweater

"This was my mom’s jersey from before I was born, so it is over 21 years old. And I’ve got to tell you it squeaks (laughs). My mom put it to go out in the recycling to an Op Shop, and ‘cause she used to wear it all the time when I was little I made her give it to me. I loved her wearing it, mainly for the squeaker. Now I wear it through the winter."
