An international fashion research project exploring the 'craft of use'

Open and Adjust

Garments can be reworked to meet changing needs. The knowledge and skills to open up a garment and adjust it to fit enrich and embolden society. They remind us about ingenuity and resourceful possibility and help replace consumption with action.

Cycling wonder

"I am wearing a reconstructed Nicola Finetti dress. It’s a seventies silk wonder. So I’ve remade it so the sleeves are the legs and it’s designed for cycling, so there are attachable pockets that detach. I have reflective elements, for visibility, and as you are riding these sort of flap in the wind and expose the hi vis elements… It’s now a jumpsuit. It’s a onesie."
