Garments can be reworked to meet changing needs. The knowledge and skills to open up a garment and adjust it to fit enrich and embolden society. They remind us about ingenuity and resourceful possibility and help replace consumption with action.

Skewed and tucked

"And then this [two piece]… is a hand me down from my neighbour, Peggy. I just altered the jacket, I skewed it up to one side and the pant legs are supposed to be straight and I wore them like that for a while until I decided I really didn’t like them. So I tucked up on the inner leg of each leg...."
