Transfer of Ownership

Giving a garment to someone else is sometimes a straightforward and spontaneous act. At other times a transfer of ownership is more circuitous. Periods of overlapping ownership often intensify resource use and stud a garment’s story with memories.

Never too old

"Before I was home last, my 93-year old… 94 at the end of next week… Mom was going through stuff, trying to clear out her house... This little leopard skin dress, she made when she was 80 and wore it all the time and loved it. And she decided to get rid of it, so I tried it and loved it.
