Transfer of Ownership

Giving a garment to someone else is sometimes a straightforward and spontaneous act. At other times a transfer of ownership is more circuitous. Periods of overlapping ownership often intensify resource use and stud a garment’s story with memories.

Energy of a grandmother

"This jacket which my grandmother, sewed when she was young and she was also very interested in sewing. And I got a lot of her clothes… it’s very good quality and this one I’m very glad of, it’s very nice. I think, like, one fifth of my clothes is actually from my grandmother. She just had a lot of energy and she was just sewing a lot so year so I got a lot of clothes from her…"
